I got to take our new “old” boat out for it’s first ride with the boys this afternoon. I will eventually get Joe softened up enough to go with us. Mitchell loved it. Drew did too. He can’t wait to fish with his new fishing pole that Pop and Doucie got him.

After a sad few days in New Iberia, it was nice to come home and enjoy the boys. Our pool is awesome. We grilled burgers and swam all day. I Love having friends and family around.
As I mentioned earlier, I was in New Iberia for a couple days. My grandmother “Gammie” is not doing well. She is ready to go and see my grandfather. Please say prayers for her that she does not suffer any longer.
My precious Grammie! At 94 and on death’s bed, she was asking if it was Wednesday b/c she gets her hair done on that day.
(Rae, Me, Jude, & Greg)
On a side note………….Only in Louisiana….I wish I needed a bike!
My parents have many bushes/trees in the back yard for the boys to enjoy. Drew got to pick blackberries and plums. The persimmons weren’t ripe yet, but give it a while. As you can see, there are THOUSANDS of plums on their tree. I believe that it is a biblical tree and shouldn’t be touched/cut. My dad disagrees b/c he can’t cut the grass under the branches anymore…Look how beautiful.

One of my favorite things to do is go to the beach. (Even if it’s just Galveston) Today, Joe humored me and we all packed up and headed down for a day of skim boarding and lounging around. Poor Spencer had to work.
Mitchell brought his friend Brendan and they had lots of fun. We stopped at a kite shop and bought a fun kite.
Drew found some kids next to us and played with them all afternoon.
Joe and I got to do what we love best..sit around and people watch! Later during the day, some of our friends met up with us for a little visiting and drinking!
When we got home, we got dressed for sushi….Spencer was home in time, so I was able to snap some pictures of my soon to be SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL…Yikes, that makes me sad!

Our weeks are so hectic that when Sunday comes around, we are wiped. Our daily routine is Church, grocery shopping, lunch, and being lazy for the day. Now that the weather has been nice, we are taking full advantage of the swimming pool.
I know I’ve said it before, but it’s the best thing we have ever bought. I wish we could use it all year round.
My handsome pool boy.
Mitchell & Drew and their new haircuts (I know you can’t tell, but trust me, a lot was cut off!)
Here is Joe getting ready for the Olympic diving competition. He got a 9.3 on this dive.
And Drew snapped this one of me.
I love being outside with Joe, the boys and the dogs.
