My brain hurts

I will be teaching an intro to engineering class next year. In addition to passing another certification test (by the skin of my teeth!), I had to attend a two week training in order to be qualified to teach the course.

I was stuck in class from 8-5 then had 2-3 hours of homework each night! To top all of that off, I had to live in a dorm and eat cafeteria food! I was so happy to be home with Joe and the boys!

I learned how to sketch, then create objects in a specialized software. I also learned how to dimension and create wheels, screws, nuts, and bolts. I feel so prepared to start again in August!

Below are pics of some of my sketches from my notebook and images of my final projects. I created every screw and bolt in those suckers from scratch!

Thank you Mom

They fit perfectly! So grateful for a crafty Momma!

Gulf Shores 2012

What a great vacation.  Joe and David had business trips scheduled, so Kim and I took the kids (9 of them) to the beach.  We stayed in a condo near my sister’s time share and thanks to my awesome brother in law, we had loungers and umbrellas waiting for us!

We got there on Friday evening, so all the girls (and Drew) went to West Beach Grille and got a bite to eat.  We arrived on Drew’s 10th birthday, so he got to celebrate with a virgin strawberry dacquari.  He was lovin life!

Saturday and Sunday, it POURED!  Not just rain, flooding downpour!  No beach…what to do..what to do!  OUTLET MALL!  OK, there are no pictures of that b/c I didn’t want photographic evidence!

Monday was our first day of sunshine and it didn’t stop after that!  We parasailed, banana boated, boogie boarded & sunned  our buns!

Bianca is sooooooo good with Drew!  She entertained him day and night.  Here she is burying him in the sand.

I wanted a picture with Mitchell.  Not sure why he was making this face

I love this picture of Spencer and Bianca.  She had never been to a “real” beach before.  She said b/c she was Mexican, she wouldn’t burn…She was eating those words…She didn’t take into account the Sun reflecting off the white sand.  Galveston does NOT have white sand.

Wednesday night, we went to Tacky Jacks and karaoked.  It was so fun.  Kim’s daughter brought down the house!  I got lots of applause too!

My Entrepreneur

What do you do when you have more tomatoes than you can possibly eat? You talk your friends into opening a tomato stand.

Don't you love their sign? How can you resist? They made almost $6
