Jambalaaaa Crawfish Pie

Thanks for the instructions, Mom. Can't really call it a recipe because I didn't use any measurements. I made three Sunday night and they were all gone Monday afternoon!

Drew's Turn

Drew started wrestling last week and is doing a great job. His coach, a former Olympic wrestler, told me he wanted him competing in tournaments starting in March.

He said that Drew was the best "rookie" wrestler he'd ever had. I guess it pays to have two older brothers pounding on you.

Well Damn, it’s over!

We had a wonderful Christmas break (Except for the Chik-Fil-A Bowl).  The weather has been awful, so we have been watching lots of TV.

Last week as we were cuddled by the fire, I looked at Spencer’s hair and asked him if I could braid it.  I guess that’s what it’s like to have a daughter….I got to play in his hair!

Mitchell had some time off, but also had wrestling practice.  He is SUPPOSED to wear headgear for matches and practices, but he only wears them when he HAS to.  Well, he got a big contusion on his ear.  Had we left it untreated, he would have developed that ugly cauliflower ear!  The ENT drained it and wrapped his head for a few days.  Hopefully, blood circulation will continue to the cartilage in his ear and he will be fine.

It could have ended up like this if we hadn’t tended to it!

Today, Joe and I went to St. Arnold’s Brewery with Joel and Brooke and did a beer tour.  It’s really cool there.  For $8, you get a glass and four tokens.  You can bring food in and play games.  You turn your tokens in and get to taste a variety of beers.  It was lots of fun.

Joe isn’t a big beer drinker, but enjoyed the dark stuff that looked/tasted like tar!!!

I, on the other hand, like the light colored beers.  My favorite was called “Lawnmower”.  I’d love to bring our Louisiana people on this tour next time they visit.

School starts back on MONDAY and that’s depressing!
