Throw Down!

I have to admit, Drew is great at cooking bacon. This morning we decided to have a cook off.  I fried the bacon in a skillet and he used his microwave plate. We had Joe judge.

The bet....if I won he had to make my bed. If he won, I had to save the clothes in his room.

Exhibit A and B

The judging (Look at the expression on Drew's face)

Well, I WON!  He said, "Mom, I just can't beat a cajun."  He then informed me that we didn't shake on the bet, so I have to make my own bed today!

Precious memories!

Pep Rally Fun

Every year the faculty, senior cheerleaders, and senior dance team members do an awesome skit.  This year, they surprised some unsuspecting teachers my making large printouts of our face and wearing them as they danced.  It was awesome.  It’s a long clip, but very funny!

Me and my big face – Jordan was the cheerleader behind my face.  She told me she had to fight to get mine b/c the other seniors wanted it.  She pulled the “I’ve know Jeff since 2nd grade card"

Brooke even tried her husband’s face on!

Our Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator, and OLine coach got jiggy wit it too!

I Love October

Because I know....

They will start harvesting the sugar cane and although the cane trucks are a nightmare, it's what the Berry is all about.

October brings cooler weather. Cooler weather means GUMBO

October is also when LSU football is in full force. So I have something to watch while eating my Gumbo if I'm not in TS!

Wrestling season starts and as a mom, there is nothing better than watching your son kick somebody's ass...... I mean watching your son compete to the best of his ability! :)

It's breast cancer awareness month!  Praise Jesus with all the research my mom is an 11 year survivor!

October is also my birthday month!  I was always called my Mom's little witch!  That was one nickname...the other was tiny hiney! (That one hasn't applied in many moons) haha.  My mom and grandmother were also born in this awesome month!

Finally, I love October bc it's Halloween time!  Had my toes painted festive to kick off MY month!

Catching Up

I can tell school has started bc we are hustlin' round here!

Spencer is in Ear/Voice training and I'm helping him with his solfege.  He inherited  his Dad's voice, poor fella. He is improving slowly but surely. He is very determined and I'm proud!

Mitch is in rare form and training really hard for upcoming season. He's never home so I don't get pictures of him!

Drew is my shopping buddy!  He knows if he comes shopping with me, he makes out like a bandit!

Game day- Drew loves his Tiger, but.....

Pistache loves them more!  Haha

I am super busy hosting Origami Owl parties. I have 4 this week. My sweet friend made this banner for me to use as decor. So fortunate for supportive people in my life, Joe being the best one!

Arizona cousins

Joe's cousin came in to help me launch my origami owl party.  Mike's team was playing the Astros so timing was perfect.
The party was also a huge success.  I signed up two designers to join my team!  In the last couple weeks, I have gotten 3 new designers!

It was so nice to visit with her and Mike and their son, Brooks

Von Traps better WATCH OUT

The Partridge Family too.  Mitchell and Spencer “jam” on the daily!  I’m so glad they are teacher Drew drums and guitar.  Watch this!

Labor Day Weekend

We were invited to spend Labor Day weekend with a few families at my friend's lake house. Unfortunately, the big boys couldn't go.

It was so relaxing on the water. Drew had a good time with his buddies and so did the grown ups.

They had never watched an LSU game with me and I don't think they will again. I woke two people out of a dead sleep!
