3rd annual Mardi Gras Bash

Every year Joe and I go with 4 other couples and we sponsor a table at this mardi gras bash

There were two bands last night. One was great. One, not so much, but having a night out with Joe and friends was worth the ear pain!

I love my work family

At 45, this is the only way I lift my shirt for beads!

Joel and Michele "wobbling" (in more way than 1). I enjoyed being designated driver!

Wordless Wednesday

What a gift!

Mitchell is in a Child Guidance class. This class prepares students to be teachers. They create lessons and activities and even make bulletin boards.

Mitch chose this as an elective (momma nudge) and is really enjoying it. They offer a 3 day mother's day out program and our students run the class of 3 and 4 year olds.

His teacher says he has a natural gift with children and they all love him. She sent me these today!  Maybe he will receive the calling I had to teach!

Holy Cow

We were minding our business and this...
Did this! (It flew out of somebody's truck)

Regional Wrestling

I’m apologizing ahead of time for the outburst of pictures.  I create a blog book and print them every year.  I want to make sure these images are cherished forever!

Joe and I couldn’t be more proud of Mitchell’s determination.  Not only is he a strong wrestler, he is a smart wrestler.  That quick thinking has gotten him out of a lot of tight matches.  We are so sad his high school wrestling career is over.  It was pure joy watching him succeed.  After he lost his last match, I looked at Joe and said, “We just watched him wrestle for the last time in high school”.  Drew quickly replied, “Don’t worry Momma, you still have me!”

Mitch busted up his shoulder during his 2nd match, so I’m sure we will be dealing with that.  I’m hoping to deal with the cauliflower ear too, but he likes his “badge of honor”.
