I always fancied myself a cocker spaniel lover, but this dog has me wrapped!  As I was taking pictures of Mitchell, he started barking at the camera.  I realized he was scared of it, so of course, I needed to torture him with it.

This is his, “I’m going to bite your face off if you don’t get that damn camera out of my face” look.

Trying to escape the flash!

Giving in!

Before Prom

Of course the moms all had to meet a take pictures.  Mitchell and Serena looked so nice dressed fancy.

They decided to do a wrestling move for a pic

Looking for the rest of their group who was lost/late!

Mitch finally confirmed last night. We pray that he keeps his faith close to his heart. We are proud of him.
The Knights of Columbus were part of the festivities. It was such pomp and circumstance!
The bishop confirmed the candidates. His homily was about an hour. He covered the ENTIRE New Testament! Other than it lasting 2.5 hours, it was a beautiful service.

When we got home, we found this!
Roux got into the pantry and had a blast eating Pasta, Reece's PB cups, and dragging our can goods INTO OUR BEDROOM!

Happy Easter

We spent the last couple days at our friend's lake house. Drew was in heaven. He woke and fished all day. He gets along so well with my friend's boys.

Joe and I were able to sit and unwind and watch hummingbirds.

We took Pistache with us. I was scared that he would run away, but he stayed with the big dogs and hung with the best of them. He is exhausted.

We took a walk and at one point had 8 dogs following us.

Drew and the boys fishing!

They did take a break to eat.

Michele and I shared a hammock all day Friday. The guys sat in lawn chairs and we stayed outside all day.

We dyed Easter eggs and popped firecrackers by the fire.

The Easter bunny left lots of eggs for four boys to find!

Pistache didn't like that he couldn't hunt the eggs!

A birthday celebration!

We have lots of friends with April birthdays (Joe included)!  We had a crawfish boil to celebrate and had a wonderful time.  Joe is the crawfish master and boiled over 100lbs for us.  One of our friends is a chef and her chef friend was on Top Chef.  She made the cakes for us. One was a Tres Leches (for Gene), one was a chocate salted caramel (Michele), and Joe got carrot cake.

There was so much talking and laughing until cake was served!  You could have heard a pin drop. They were stuffing their face with delicious cake!

The birthday boy!

Beautiful cakes!

April birthdays (Michelle-44, Gene-32, Brooke-30, Joe-49)

We are going to miss Brooke and Joel so much. They are like family to us!  Joel got an opportunity to be an Offensive Coordinator in the San Antonio area
